What information do we collect on the telephone, via the website or via email, and what do we do with it?
When we obtain information from you over the telephone, via email or our website, we do so to enable us to provide an appointment to visit your home to look at your roof and then provide a quotation. The details obtained will be as follows: your full name, your address, your contact telephone numbers and email address, what type of roof you have and what kind of property you live in and if there are parking facilities outside your home, if your property is rented out we may also require the contact details of the tenant so that we can arrange a convenient time to look at the roofing problem. If you require a roof report or decide to have work carried out by us and wish to pay by card then we will collect your credit or debit card details in order to facilitate this. This can be done via clicking a link on our website or by calling our office, should you decide to call the office to pay, the same Worldpay system is used and no card numbers are kept on our database, An invoice with details of the work carried out and the amount paid will be recorded in our accountants system and kept for our records.

Although we do not use your details for marketing purposes, we may call you to receive feedback on any quote given to you, this is purely to improve our service that we offer our customers and ensure that we continue to be competitive in the market place.

We do not sell your information to third parties, the information we obtain is for the use of Chris Ball Roofing works only. As some of our activities require the skills and resources of other companies, we may need to share your information in order to perform these activities (things like credit checks, if required, scaffolding services, obtaining online reviews) these companies will have similar legal obligations to us with regard to safeguarding your information. If we sell our business, then your information may be transferred to the new owner. But the new owner will be subject to the same laws concerning your information as we are.

We only store your information within the UK; we do not share it with any European Economic Area Countries. The information is held on our databases within our company servers in a secure environment.

If you want to see what information we hold about you or you want to correct any inaccuracies in that information, please contact us using the details below. Note that we reserve the right to charge a small administration fee for providing a copy of your information.
We hold information of our customers indefinitely due to the nature of our business and guarantees that we offer on works. As we would be required to refer back to previous work carried out to facilitate the guarantee, if the file and information was deleted we would no longer have access to this information.
Should you require any information to be deleted please email us and we will advise what we can delete for you. (Dependant upon if we have done work at your property or not)
If you decide not to have work done by our company you can request the deletion of your data immediately which will be the information we took from you on the initial call, please email admin@chrisballroofing.co.uk with your name, address and quotation number for this to be actioned.
